IT/ Network working student (m/w/d)

PTS is a German new-space company whose aim is to bring down the cost of space exploration and democratize access to the Moon. PTS is a privately held company, and our goal is to show that it is possible to build a sustainable business in space exploration. As well as delivering cheaper and more regular opportunities for academics, industry and educational institutions to conduct lunar research, we are keen to develop the infrastructure required for future settlement on the Moon.

 

Your tasks:

  • Help setup and maintain space- and engineering specific tools like CAD, simulation environments, Matlab etc.
  • Maintenance of Windows (Active Directory) and Linux OS based server infrastructure
  • Interaction with the space and avionics engineering teams
  • Documentation of work

 

Your profile:

  • Ongoing studies in computer science or related field
  • Basic knowledge in Windows and Linux/UNIX
  • Experience in using shells and scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash
  • Good ability to work as a team, reliability, flexibility and commitment
  • Interested in learning about new technologies and taking responsibility
  • Very good english speaking and writing skills
  • Good german speaking and writing skills
